So far, to go down the list (not necessarily in order): - Got $500 from my dad in reparation of the catastrophe related to Carl and The Crusher^tm. - Drank champagne. - Lusted after a project engineer for the railroad. - Went shopping. - Bought a new car. - Found authentic bibimbap. 01:44 am adibrah [Link]	If the world would end today... ...I think I'd miss the sunset a lot. The lack of anything substantial to do this evening drove me to the beach earlier. For two hours I stared at the sun on its descent into the horizon over the water. The sky was completely clear of any clouds. In the middle of it I got to notice a huge sunspot go across the orange/yellow orb. Gazing at just how majestic this star is above our heads was a very humbling experience. We all go about our lives as if we're so important. We worry and stress about the pettiest things. We're hung up on ridiculous notions and beliefs of self-importance to the point of arrogance. People will come and go, live and die, and look upon the sun until the world does end and none of it will mater even in the slightest to the stars. All in all it was a very humbling and calming experience. I wish I did this more often because once the sun had finally set, I had the urge to get in my car, take out a pen and paper and jot down these thoughts right away in the parking lot at the beach so I don't lose them. 06:46 pm thevirtualjim [Link]	Totally Normal Event Just got back, and WOW it rocked!! A 1-day con was kinda weird, but it worked as we got there fri and hung out with people, and sunday we hung out a bit too. Now I will say that the con it-self was ok. I really only saw a few things as not too much was interesting: Part of the freezepop concert, a wipping demo, one of the magick panels w/ Issac Bonewitz, and the drumming demo by the drummer from 'the dresden dolls' They had these 4 'tribes' that were supposed to...well I am not sure but I think it just wasn't well organized, and there was not a ton of people but it all worked out. What made the con awesome was all the cool people, and the fact that our hotel room was social central both fri and sat nights. ktpinto really just is the social attractor. We made more noise than the play party that was next door. I also got to hang out with Jade, whom I haven't seen in a LONG time and I met her friend Jen, who is WAY cool. I hope I can hang out with them sometime soon. Nice to be all cat-like with peeps again :) People loved my outfit, basically a cat with wings. orelalaith, you missed it, everyone loved the wings you gave me! We had some great sayings over the weekend, many dont translate well to typed word, like the werewolf one, but my fav was "they have a number for that" from: G: "so, how old are you?" me: "try to guess" G: " well, from what people said, I think you are somewhere between 35 and 37." me: "They have a number for that" it really made everyone in the elevator crack up. I met lots of cool people, made more of a pi-con connection to be a guest there, and wow, Issac bonewitz son eats all our food, and he is amazed black people exist at conventions...weird... anything interesting over the weekend or LJ I should know about?
